The principal of Atascadero high school, Nikki Baca, has been placed on an unspecified leave.
The Atascadero unified school district sent two separate messages announcing the leave, one to families, and one to staff, but neither provide further details into the nature of the leave. In the email to staff, Tom Bennet, district superintendent says: “Due to the confidential nature of personnel matters, we are unable to share additional details.”
Educator-administrator Libby Madding has taken over as interim principal.
