The Paso Robles city council’s next meeting will be tonight at 6.
On tonight’s agenda, staff is seeking direction from the council on the process of surplus land Pioneer park. The city council declared the zone as non-exempt surplus land back in November 2025, and received three responses to the notice of availability. One from the housing authority of San Luis Obispo, another from the Pioneer museum foundation, and a third from the Paso Robles event center. The city was unable to reach an agreement with the Housing Authority.
Earlier this year, council directed staff to delay the sale of the property, pending the outcome of its upcoming parks master plan, while also accepting proposals for disposition of the land to involve potential projects of cultural significance. Staff is seeking additional direction from the council on this second motion, such as the length of time the city will accept proposals.
You can attend tonight’s meeting in person, or listen right here on KPRL.
