On Sunday afternoon, San Luis Obispo police officers received a report that a drunk driver crashed into a fire hydrant.
The incident took place near Santa Rosa and Marsh streets, police say, with the hydrant flooding the roadway.
The driver was transported to a local hospital for treatment of moderate injuries.
Officers plan to ask the DA’s office to file DUI charges against the driver.
