The referendum petition for the Paso Robles downtown paid parking program was submitted to the city clerk yesterday afternoon.
With over 2,300 signatures, the referendum is seeking to put the paid parking program on the November ballot after it was reinstated by the city council through an ordinance in March.
The city now has thirty days to verify the referendum and its signatures. During this time period, the paid parking program will be suspended.
