News Release – MAR7 – Chief Tsudama
Cal Fire San Luis Obispo unit chief John Owens has announced the appointment of a new deputy chief of operations, effective March 16th.
Paso Robles resident, and long time fire serviceman, Keith Tsudama will head into the position. He began his career in 2002 with the united states forest service, and joined Cal Fire in 2003. Cal Fire says he has served as a firefighter, engineer, fire captain, battalion chief, and assistant chief.
He is currently assigned as deputy incident commander for Cal Fire incident management team 6, and recently served as an operations chief with the Monterey county urban search and rescue team. Cal Fire says that he has played an active role in statewide incident management, helping coordinate large emergency responses across California.
Unit chief John Owens said he will be “a tremendous addition to the San Luis Obispo unit leadership team.”
