Another good weekend for Xander Schauffele and his Caddy, former Greyhound Austin Kaiser. Schauffele tied for second at the Phoenix open. Shauffele won $650 thousand dollars. Two weeks ago, he finished second at the Farmers Insurance Open in San Diego. So far this year, Schauffele’s won over one million dollars.
One sad note today. World War II veteran Robert True died recently at a residential care facility. The cause of death listed as complications from Parkinson’s Disease and Covid-19. Caltrans has reopened some sections of highway one. The big closure on both sides of Rat Creek will stay closed for months. A Paso Robles man arrested on charges of kidnapping, elder abuse and assault with a deadly weapon. 40-year-old Charles Courtemanche allegedly held his mother at knife point. She escaped and drove to the Walmart parking lot where she met with police. He was taken into custody Saturday night.
