Caltrans has released further information on the highway 46 east widening project.
Caltrans says construction of the bridges on Cholame creek are nearing completion. These bridges will connect to the recently completed interchange. This stage of the project is expected to finish in the summer of 2026.
Caltrans says the next phase of the highway 46 east widening project is the Antelope grade, and is expected to begin construction in the spring of 2027.
