The Paso Robles city council, after a lengthy discussion, approved several changes to food truck regulations.
Changes were recommended by the ad hoc committee of council members Chris Bausch and Steve Gregory after facilitating feedback from the public.
Council approved four recommendations, which are effective immediately. These relate to limiting noise generation, limiting accessory furniture, and regulating space between the public right-of-way. Temporary use permits will also not be granted on private property within 100 feet of the city park, with exception to special events such as the New Year’s Eve celebration event.
Two amendments will need to return as a future agenda item for a zone ordinance. These relate to temporary use permits based on the number of operating days in the city, and for events.
Council voted unanimously for the changes.
