A vehicle caught fire yesterday afternoon on the Cuesta grade, threatening nearby vegetation.
CHP received reports of the vehicle fire at about 4:45 pm on highway 101. The car fire spread to a nearby tree. CHP says the fire was completely extinguished at about 5:02 pm, but traffic on the northbound 101 was backed up as far as Monterey street in San Luis Obispo from the incident.
No injuries were reported.
