County public works announced that the new bridge on Creston road and Quail Creek has opened a week ahead of schedule.
The bridge was first closed for construction on June 1st, as it experienced significant structural damage during the 2023 winter storms. Temporary work was completed at that time to re-open the bridge, but the most recent work replaced the 85-year-old damaged bridge with a new concrete bridge. Detour and road closure signs will be removed, and traffic patterns will return to normal.
However, some contractors may continue to work on the shoulders of the road to finalize the project, and motorists are encouraged to drive with caution.
