On Saturday afternoon, Cal Fire reported a vegetation fire broke out near the 3000 block of Gilardi road off highway 1 between San Luis Obispo and Morro Bay.
Cal Fire’s report came in at around 12:44 pm on social media, saying the fire had the potential to burn 150 acres due to the dry brush and wind. After several hours, however, the fire was contained at 100%, with responders mopping up the blaze.
Cal Fire says the final acreage was 58 acres; the cause was reported to be under investigation.
