Yesterday afternoon, about 100 Christians gathered at the sunken gardens for an open-air celebration. Followers from more than five local churches participated in the event. Those who attended came from as far away as Santa Maria. Singers and musicians led those in attendance in “Amazing Grace” and other christian songs. A woman identified only as “Brenda” talked to the congregation, and thanked them for coming out to the sunken gardens event.
The celebration concluded shortly before rain showers arrived in Atascadero.
