The sheriff’s department is investigating the fatal fall of a hiker at Montana de Oro state park Sunday afternoon.
Witnesses reporting seeing a woman who was walking alone on the bluffs fall backward over a 70-foot cliff onto the beach. That was around 4:30 Sunday.
The woman was described as being in her late 40’s. She has not been identified.
