If you drove El Camino Real past the rotunda in Atascadero yesterday afternoon, you may have seen some people demonstrating at the sunken gardens.

Mary Jane Jodry’s son’s death was dramatic. You probably heard about it. He fell from a parking garage in San Luis Obispo two years ago. Initially, San Luis Obispo police dismissed a murder investigation, but more evidence has manifested which raises questions about the events leading to the death of Thomas Jodry.
Later this week, Bill and Mary Jane Jodry are meeting with the new San Luis Obispo police chief to discuss the case.
Tomorrow, we’ll hear from Carmen Velci, whose son was killed by fentanyl, given to him by a man with whom he worked at an upscale restaurant in Paso Robles. The pill he thought was a pharmaceutical killed him. More on that case tomorrow.
This coming Saturday night, Carmen Velci is putting on a fundraiser at the Atascadero recreation center to raise money for scholarships at Atascadero high school and the teen center. An evening of Aloha, $38 a ticket. Food, Hula, entertainment, dancing and San Luis Obispo county district attorney Dan Dow will speak.
