The county elections office announced the candidate filing period for the June 2nd primary election has closed.
For offices in which the incumbent does not file, there will be an extension until Wednesday, March 11th. This will likely be for the district 2 supervisorial district and the county superintendent of education, according to the elections office.
The clerk recorder’s office has released an unofficial list of candidates running. For district 2 supervisor, Michael Erin Woody will face James Angelo Dantona. And for district 4, supervisor Jimmy Paulding will go against Adam Verdin. Three candidates have filed for clerk-recorder: Elaina Cano, Gaea Powell, and Vanessa Rozo.
Additionally, postcards have been mailed to every registered voter to confirm their residency, as part of state law. Any voters who wish to check their registration status can do so at: myvoterstatus.sos.ca.gov.
