The Paso Robles library honored and thanked its volunteers with a Drive-thru Volunteer Appreciation Event. From noon to about 1:30 Sunday afternoon, volunteers drove through the parking lot at the Senior Center on Scott Street to receive a scrumptious box lunch from Red Scooter Deli as a thank-you for their service to the Paso Robles Library.
Traditionally, the Library conducts a Volunteer Luncheon, but because of COVID, they opted for the drive-thru event. Most of the library staff showed up at the Senior Center Sunday afternoon. Librarian Angelica Fortin personally thanked all the volunteers who drove through the parking lot. Paso Robles City Community Services Director Julie Silva Dahlen also dropped by the event. Among the Library Staff on hand for Sunday’s event were Volunteer and Engagement Director Suzanne Robitaille, and librarians Janeen Duarte, Catherine Lombardo, Karen Christiansen, Cristal Sanchez, Eileen Riley, Joe Youngquist, Melisssa Bailey, Jean Platt and Carrie Sletten.
Others came and went during the event Sunday afternoon at the Paso Robles Senior Center.
