Last night, the Paso Robles city council again discussed the proposed sewer rate increase.
Mayor Steve Martin telling the council, people have told him Paso Robles has the highest rates in the county. Waste water treatment manager Matt Thompson said that, that is not the case. The sewer rates in Paso Robles are toward the low end in the county.
City councilman Fred strong talked about the history of the sewer rates. He talked about how the city refusing to take action cost them nearly one million dollars in penalties from the state. Ultimately, Steve Gregory made the motion to approve the proposed increase, to put it before the citizens for approval.
So on April 20th, there will be a hearing on that sewer rate increase in the city of Paso Robles.
The Paso Robles city council also received a report on Covid from battalion chief Harris.
At the Paso Robles Event Center, they’re providing vaccinations for those getting their second vaccine.
Michele Schoresman is with the county health department. She says the vaccine inventory problem is not confined to San Luis Obispo county.
