The city of Atascadero and charles Paddock zoo commended for saving turtles and tortoises during the Thomas fire in Ojai three years ago.
City manager Rachelle Rickard telling the city council Tuesday night the Ojai Tortoise Conservancy sending a commendation to Atascadero and the Charles Paddock zoo for accommodating hundreds of turtles and tortoises in the basement of the rotunda three years ago.
So congratulations to the Charles Paddock zoo and city of Atascadero for rescuing those turtles and tortoises displaced by the Thomas fire near Ojai three years ago.
