It’s only Wednesday, but it’s already been a long week for sheriff Ian Parkinson.
First, there was the weapon which was left in a restroom at the jail by a civilian employee who had a permit to carry a concealed weapon. You may remember, an inmate who was just released found the weapon, and took it. He was arrested a short time later in San Luis. He was charged with being a felon in possession of a weapon.
The other issue facing the sheriff and his investigators, a shooting which recently occurred on Chimney Rock road outside Paso Robles. The sheriff says so far, he can’t comment much because an investigation is underway. Sheriff Ian Parkinson says the investigation into that shooting on Chimney Rock road continues.
