More than 4,250 gallons of sewage were released in the ocean near Avila Beach on New Year’s Eve. That was caused by a sewage line blockage.
The spill started around 5 Saturday afternoon and was stopped at 6:25.
Part of Avila Beach was closed on New Year’s day because of that sewage leak.
