The Atascadero police department says they received multiple reports of fireworks being used at around 5:10 am, early on Wednesday.
The sounds had gone on for some time, the department says; the calls came from residents in the Rosario, Tunitas area, and another from Nacimiento.
The police department says, however, that the suspect was already gone when officers arrived.
No further details are available at this time.
