The county office of public libraries invites families to attend the Día del Niño Festival in the San Miguel park, Saturday, April 26th from 11 am to 3 pm.
This children’s day festival returns for its second year, and brings a variety of games, performances, and activities to San Miguel. A release by Erica Thatcher, spokesperson for the libraries, says the event will feature an outdoor museum experience, carnival in the park, animals from the Atascadero zoo, and more activities throughout the day. This includes jam making, science activities, and instrument making.
Entertainment will also feature local Baile Folkorico Groups: Flor de Luna and Paso a Pasito, with musicians from Lilian Larsen middle school.
Attendees are also encouraged to start the day at the annual San Miguel Sagebrush parade on Mission street, running from 10 am to 10:45 am, just before the Día del Niño Festival begins.
