A 3.5 magnitude earthquake struck north San Luis Obispo county on Friday afternoon.
The quake’s epicenter was about five miles west of Templeton, just north of highway 46 west. Light rattling could be felt in parts of the north county.
The USGS shows data that several other light quakes struck the area as well this past month, ranging from 1.2 to 2.2 magnitude. This is also where a 4.1 quake struck in November, where the shaking could be felt in large swaths of the county.
