The Paso Robles school board met last night at the district office at Niblick road. The board received an attorney’s explanation on procedures for accepting public testimony in a manner to comply with the Brown Act.
Superintendent Curt Dubost introduced Tom Harrington who will take over for Nate Maas as director of student services. Maas resigned from the Paso Robles district to accept a job with the Santa Maria school district. At last night’s school board meeting, Harrington will take over for Nate Maas in the district office.
Flamson principal Tim Vincent also resigned to take a position in Santa Maria. Former vice principal Audra Carr will take over as principal at Flamson. Tim Vincent was popular with teachers and students, partly because of his background. Vincent previously served as director of the Grizzly Academy. He also served as commander of Camp Roberts, until his recent retirement. Vincent was also fluent in Spanish.
Audra Carr, however, has the advantage that she is close with assistant superintendent Jennifer Gaviola.
The school district is still filling administrative positions after a plethora of resignations by principals and other administrators.
