Do you find living in San Luis Obispo county expensive?
A new report by Doxo indicates that on the average, county residents pay about 30% more in their monthly bills than someone living elsewhere in the country.
The average is about $2,450 dollars per month. That’s 29.7% higher than average.
The good news, county residents pay about $112 less than the average Californian. And significantly less than others.
The most expensive area, San Jose, because of the inflated cost of housing. A fixer-upper in San Jose goes for over one million dollars. And that is driving rent and other options through the roof.
Among 34 regions in California that Doxo analyzed in their report, San Luis Obispo county placed #11.
That is the 11th most expensive region in the state, largely related to the cost of real estate, but other factors weighed in like the cost of gasoline, food and other necessities.
