A 62-year-old homeless man struck and killed Friday night while running across the 101 freeway near the highway 46 off-ramp.
The accident occurred around 9:15 Friday night in the southbound lanes of highway 101.
The transient ran across the southbound lanes of 101. He was struck by one vehicle. Another vehicle then struck the first vehicle. The 62-year-old unidentified man was pronounced dead at the scene.
The CHP has not released the name of the homeless man who was killed.
They remind people, the freeway is for traffic. Pedestrians are not allowed on the freeway.
