The county of San Luis Obispo announced that the Cayucos pier will remain closed for inspection by engineers after the weekend storms.
Calfire crews noticed damage on the pier on February 6th, and while the damage did not appear to be major, the pier will remain closed due to safety reasons until engineers can conduct inspections once weather and surf conditions improve.
