The A & W in Atascadero closed yesterday when part of the roof collapsed. Workers were repairing the roof near the drive-in around 9:10 yesterday morning when it collapsed.
A worker fell during the collapse and injured his ankles. He was not transported by emergency vehicles from the site of the accident. City officials red-tagged the building. That stipulates the building is not safe for use until necessary repairs are made.
It’s not known how long the A & W will remain closed on Morro road in Atascadero.
