Another black lives matter protest Saturday evening in Paso Robles.
The demonstration started around 6:00 in the downtown city park in Paso Robles. Police chief Ty Lewis said about 30 people took part in the demonstration.
The demonstrators sang black lives matter songs with slogans like “I can’t breath.” And phrases about so-called “racist cops.”
The demonstrators stood silently in the downtown city park staring at diners having dinner at outdoor restaurant areas on the south side of the city park. Then they marched single file to 12th street and repeated the silent stare at outdoor diners.
The crowd broke up around 8:30.
No incidents, although there was a shouting match when two diners shouted, “All Lives Matter.” Police moved in to prevent the shouting match from evolving into violence. The diners were escorted out of the park and the protesters went home.
