Atascadero city council met virtually last night. The meeting included a presentation by the new police chief, Bob Masterson, who talked about the issues related to the recent criminal activity of homeless people camping near downtown Atascadero.
You may remember the recent violence which led to three people suffering injuries, and two arrests. One of those arrested charged with attempted murder. The chief says changes in laws have made it more difficult to enforce laws against criminals living on the street.
