The city of Atascadero invites the public to attend the ribbon cutting ceremony for its outdoor skate area.
This will take place Friday, January 16th at 4:30 pm at George C. Beatie Skate Park, 5493 Traffic Way. A-town park offers 7,000 square feet of outdoor skating areas, and 8,000 square feet of indoor space. The area has received “a vibrant face-lift,” with exterior paint upgrades, and new improvements to enhance the experience for skateboarders and scooter riders “creating a more inclusive and versatile space for riders of all skill levels.”
The facility is open Monday through Friday, 2 to 6 pm, weekends from noon to 5 and 4 pm, and free skating available Monday to Friday for students with a punch pass.
The city of Atascadero invites the community to join them for this celebration tomorrow, with refreshments available, and to learn more about the programs and camps offered in local recreation.
