A black bear wandered into Lompoc Tuesday and made its way into a back yard. It batted a basketball around before police and wildlife officials came and shot it with a tranquilizer.
It was removed and taken about ten miles south of town. The adult bear weight, about 300 pounds.
It jogged along sidewalks in Lompoc and climbed on top of fences. Very agile for a large adult bear.
