The bridges of northern San Luis Obispo county.
KPRL talked Friday with San Luis Obispo county public works about the bridge on Creston road which is closed near South El Pomar drive.
The county’s Mike Hill says they will ascertain this week how long it will take to get that bridge over the creek repaired so they can reopen that stretch of Creston road. Right now, they’ve got a detour set up. He says they have been prevented from working on the roadway because of environmental laws which forbid them from working in the creek when it has a high flow of water. That creek is slowly receding. We may know later this week when that roadway will be repaired.
The county estimated Chimney Rock road may be reopened by April 28th.
The county roads department is very busy with numerous damaged roadways from the floodwaters of January, February and March.
