The secretary of state released the names of the candidates for governor in the recall election. There are 41 of them, from Angelyne, who is an entertainer with no party preference, to Leo Zacky, who is a republican businessman and farmer from Los Angeles.
The best known candidates include republican John Cox, republican Kevin Faulconer, the former mayor of San Diego, libertarian Jeff Hewitt, who is a supervisor in Riverside county, and assemblyman Kevin Kiley of Rocklin in northern California.
It’s a colorful group including a democratic cannabis policy advisor, and a hairstylist from LA who is a member of the green party. 41 candidates in all.
The recall election is September 14th.
