Today, Cal Fire San Luis Obispo, in cooperation with local agency partners will be conducting a training drill at Camp Roberts.
This advanced training drill is a full-scale wildland urban interface drill, designed to enhance operational readiness ahead of this 2025 fire season.
The drill starts at 7 this morning, and will go until 4:30 pm. The drill simulates realistic wildland fire conditions, according to Cal Fire.
Smoke will be visible in the surrounding areas, including highway 101.
