After celebrating its 70th anniversary this weekend, alongside the 22nd annual Ice Cream Zoofari, the Charles Paddock Zoo proudly announced its new name: The Central Coast Zoo.
The zoo’s entrance plaza will be renamed to Charles Paddock Plaza, honoring the zoo’s origins to its beloved founder. A bronze statue of the founder with his opposum will be erected as well.
The zoo also announced they will be launching “Zoo 2.0,” a marketing initiative to promote environmental awareness, sustainable practices, and enhance the zoo’s visibility.
