A two vehicle collision sent one driver to the hospital on Friday night in Paso Robles.
The collision occurred at the intersection of South River and Niblick roads, blocking the intersection for about half an hour. At about 7:48 pm, a Kia SUV collided with a sedan that was turning left. The driver of the SUV was transported by an ambulance to a local hospital – five people were inside the sedan, including two young children. No injuries were sustained by the sedan’s occupants.
An off-duty sheriff’s deputy was behind the sedan, and stopped to assist and check on the occupants of both vehicles. Police, a fire truck, and an ambulance arrived within about 10 minutes, with tow trucks removing both vehicles from the intersection. The roadway was cleared after about 30 minutes.
No further information is available at this time.
