There will be a demonstration in support of district attorney Dan Dow tomorrow in San Luis Obispo. It will be held at the Fremont theater on Monterey, across the street from the county government center.
It begins at 9:45 tomorrow morning. There is another demonstration in support of Dan Dow Thursday evening in the same general location.
Dow has been attacked by black lives matter and the media for not dropping charges against 20-year-old Tianna Arata, the organizer of the demonstration which recently blocked traffic on 101 for about 40 minutes. Before the protest, she had promised the police chief that she would not lead demonstrators out onto the freeway. During the protest, Arata assaulted a van which tried to drive past the demonstrators in downtown San Luis. While blocking the freeway, the demonstrators told the driver of a vehicle transporting a woman in labor to the hospital, that they could not drive through. They said she would have to suffer as they did.
Dan Dow has not said if he would file charges against Tianna Arata. The San Luis Obispo police arrested her on multiple charges, including several felonies. The charges against Arata have been publicized in the national media.
