At the preliminary hearing for the Kristin Smart trial, a retired Cal Poly police detective testifies, that when he interviewed Paul Flores three days after Kristin Smart disappeared, he had a black eye.
Lawrence Kennedy also described the defendant’s behavior during that interview as nervous.
44-year-old Paul Flores is the last person to see Kristin Smart alive. The defendant and Kristin Smart left a party on May 24th, 1996, and she was never seen again.
The preliminary hearing continues today in San Luis superior court.
