The San Luis Obispo airport was evacuated Sunday night because of reports of two suspicious devices found in a restroom at the airport.
The county bomb task force was deployed to the scene.
They identified the devices as inert practice mortars. They had no explosive devices inside the mortar shells.
The items were recovered, the airport was searched, and then it was reopened to visitors.
Tony Cipolla of the sheriff’s office says the investigation continues into who placed those devices in the men’s room.
