Starting today and extending through the end of the month, PG&E will be conducting maintenance and testing of the county’s early warning system sirens.
Crews will be inspecting each of the county’s 131 sirens, which may be tested for a few seconds at low volume.
Work will take place weekdays from 8 am to 4 pm through July.
People in the areas of Cayucos, Morro Bay, Los Osos, and the Irish Hills of San Luis Obispo may hear the sirens being tested during this month.
No action is required from the public during these tests.
