Today is election day. The recall election for governor Gavin Newsom.
Randall Jordan of the republican party explains what’s on today’s ballot. Just one issue, the recall of governor Gavin Newsom. First, you’re asked if you would like to recall the governor. Second, you can choose the candidate you’d like to replace Newsom, if he’s recalled. There is a list of bout 46 candidates. There are democrats, republicans, independents and even an exotic dancer from Los Angeles.
There are more than 20 polling places in the north county where you can drop off your ballot. You should have received that ballot in the mail several weeks ago. You can go to the county elections website to see where they’re located. Those polling places will be open (from 7 this morning) until eight this evening.
You can also drop your ballot off at a public library or at the county clerk’s office in Atascadero.
You can also mail the ballot back, but it must be postmarked today and received by the county elections office within seven days.
