The California Highway Patrol released a statement this weekend on a fatal traffic collision that occurred late last week.
The report says that on Thursday at 8:10 pm, a 33-year-old Bakersfield resident was driving her black cadillac westbound on the 58 just east of Parkhill road at unknown speeds. For reasons still under investigation, the cadillac left the south roadway edge and overturned down a steep embankment. The driver sustained fatal injuries, and the passenger of the cadillac, a 10-year-old female juvenile sustained minor injuries.
CHP is still investigating this crash, and it is unknown if drugs or alcohol were contributing factors.
