The California Department of Food and Agriculture is awarding $223,000 in 2021 Cal-Ag Plate program funds. That money will go for projects that will promote and administer agricultural education and leadership programs for students, teachers and youth under the 2021 California special interest license plate grant program.
The Cal-Ag Plate program is funded with proceeds generated through the sale of specialized, agriculture-themed license plates through the California Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV).
So if you get one of those Cal Ag Plates, that’s what your money goes for in California.
