In Morro Bay, more trouble at Giovanni’s Fish Market. On Saturday, police arrested three people on suspicion of stealing a tip jar from the fish market.
That’s just a few months after the business was burglarized and vandalized. All three of the suspects are from Tulare county. One suspect stole the tip jar from the service window, then ran north on the Embarcadero to a waiting vehicle.
Police received a tip from a person who saw a social media post with a photo of the suspect and vehicle. They found the vehicle parked at a restaurant in San Simeon.
Two suspects fled on foot onto the beach. One suspect tried to throw drug paraphernalia into the ocean.
23-year-old Devon Young was arrested on suspicion of a felony parole violation. The other two arrested on misdemeanors.
You may remember back in April, someone broke into the Giovanni’s seafood tanks and stole over $200 worth of live crabs. Later, someone caused thousands of dollars in damage to the restaurants electrical system.
