A section of highway 1 that was initially closed on Sunday afternoon has reopened.
The segment is north of San Luis Obispo county, starting near Ragged Point Inn. It was closed on Sunday due to a rockfall and large pools of water, according to Caltrans.
Caltrans announced yesterday afternoon the road has reopened once again, all the way to two miles north of Lucia. But the closure at Regent’s slide is still in place as work continues.
Caltrans says the highway is still estimated to reopen by the end of March.
