The Templeton Eagles boys basketball team lost to Nipomo 65-56 in the CIF play-offs.
Mission Prep lost to Clovis West 59-41 in the CIF play-offs. Clovis West is the number one ranked team in Division One. Mission Prep may still get an invite to the state championship.
The Arroyo Grande Eagles beat Liberty of Bakersfield Friday night 68-65. They’ll host Dinuba Wednesday night. The Eagles are 20-9 for the season. Dinuba is 26-4.
In college baseball, the Cal Poly Mustangs played a long game against the San Jose Spartans yesterday. The game was stopped with the score 11-10 after eight innings. The game suspended because of failing light. Excite ballpark usually has lights for the Spartans and San Jose Giants. They were recently removed in favor of new lights which will not be installed until late March.
Cal Poly returns to the bay area for a three game series. They play the Cal Bears Friday afternoon, then Connecticut on Friday night, and Cal again on Saturday evening.
