Play offs begin this week for high school softball and baseball.
In softball, the Paso Robles Bearcats host Frontier at 4:30 this afternoon. Templeton play at Dinuba this afternoon. Mission Prep hosts Golden Valley at 4:30 this afternoon in San Luis.

In division two, Atascadero will host Lompoc Wednesday afternoon at 4:30. Mission Prep will play at Lemoore tomorrow afternoon. Atascadero and Mission Prep are in the same bracket. If they each win, they’ll play each other on Friday, probably in Atascadero, but one game at a time.
First round games tomorrow in CIF baseball play offs. Atascadero at home against Lompoc. Mission Prep at Lemoore.

The Padres shut out the Royals 4-0.
The Giants beat the Phillies 6-3.
The Diamondbacks beat the Athletics 5-2.
The Angels beat the Orioles 9-5.
The Yankees beat the Blue Jays 7-4.
