The Kristin Smart murder trial is moving out of San Luis Obispo county, but we don’t know where.
Yesterday morning, San Luis Obispo superior court Judge Craig Van Rooyen rules in favor of a change-of-venue motion filed by the lawyers for Paul and Ruben Flores. They’re the father and son accused in the murder of Kristin Smart in May of 1996.
Paul Flores is the last person seen with Kristin when she was alive. His father, Ruben Flores is accused of helping Paul to hide her body, which has never been found.
The court will meet April 4th to further discuss the change-of-venue. No way of knowing at this point where the murder trial will be conducted.
