Templeton Fire & Emergency Services announced they will be holding a live fire training burn on Sunday, January 25th.
The burn will start at 9 am, and conclude at 6 pm, held at 1400 South Main street. The purpose is to provide Templeton firefighters and attending neighboring agencies with a realistic live fire training opportunity.
The burn has been approved by the county air pollution control district and poses no threat to neighboring businesses or residences. Smoke and drifting smoke are expected throughout the day.
Firefighters will train in interior fire attack, vertical ventilation, search and rescue, survival, and salvage and overhaul operations.
Templeton fire appreciates the community’s understanding as they conduct this training operation.
